‘Du Barry Getaway Skybox’
Have a small skybox in 18th century style with the ‘Du Barry Getaway Skybox’! This skybox with an 18th century interior allows you to have an residential space in true 18th century style!
The skybox has measurements of 18x22 m, meaning a surface of 396 m2, therefore allowing you to place it on a land parcel of only 512 m2 already!
The skybox has a prim count of only 34 Prims, and as the rooms are neither too big nor too small, they do not have remain bare. You would have enough prims left for furnishing!

So this evening a friend of mine IM-ed me asking if I wouldnt want to accompany her to 1920s Berlin (rp sim) because there would be a special guest at a gathering there.
Rod Humble.
I have to admit to being a bit dense in this situation and going “Rod who?” my friend answered “Rod Humble-as in the Linden Lab CEO”
Of course I went to have a look.
So people for a little while I was near a Linden for the first time since I joined back in 2007. And it was THE Linden.
(Even though I couldnt see him for the amount of avatars packed into a room and crashing in the middle of it.)

In this change to your regularly scheduled programming, I’m going to talk a little about virtual worlds. Just in general. This is the first true ‘editorial’ either me or Hero have posted on this blog, and we hope you enjoy it. Before that, however, we’re announcing an all new feature! Alongside our fashion and occasional interiors posts, there will be posts that focus on the virtual world around us. Call it a virtual travel feature, if you wish. Our avatars may feature in the pictures on these posts, but they won’t be as prominent as in our ‘normal’ fashion oriented posts. The first one of those is coming up later today, so keep an eye out for it! The picture above is just a little teaser for you. In addition to that, longer editorial posts like this will become a more regular occurrence too!
I like this post.Very much. I couldnt agree more with the authors sentiments after the cut.

Exploring the forest at Skye Nest Point
What a beautiful sim this is with paths leading through the dense forest, making you feel like you were in a fairytale.I got the same feel as when I visit one of my other favorite locations in SL (Chakryn forest) but apart from the forest Skye seems to have some castles and ruins
I didnt have time to explore it all today (will have to come back another day) but if anyone has a spare moment and loves exploring new and wonderful places in SL, going to visit Skye Nest Point will surely be worth your time :)

I know there are many of you out there who have a real passion for taking pictures in SL so think this might be of interest to you. :)
The Second Life community encompasses many incredibly talented people from around the world who have displayed their skills in various forms across the grid over the past ten years.
This year the SL10B Community Celebration Team thought – “What better way to involve the residents in the celebration than to hold a photo contest?” This will allow the Second Life community to be creative in expressing this year’s “Looking Forward, Looking Back” theme.
The enjoyment of photography to express yourself and to have fun is all you need to enter, with categories for photographs simply taken inworld, and photographs that have been edited out of world with software such as Photoshop, Gimp or getpaint.
